The first RE-DIRECTION event at the University of Patras brought together 8 academic staff members and 78 students for an insightful exchange of ideas on how to implement the project’s Methodological Framework, on Saturday, 21 September 2024 at the BA Amphitheater, University of Patras Campus.

The session began with a concise presentation of the RE-DIRECTION Project, introducing participants to its goals: fostering digital transformation, promoting sustainability, and advancing inclusivity in higher education.

This was followed by a dynamic open discussion, where participants shared views on modernizing university teaching.
Key takeaways included:

  •  Asynchronous learning, through recorded lectures, provides flexibility and supports better in-class engagement.

  •  Gamification and interactive elements help make traditional lectures more engaging and effective.

  •  There is a clear need for educator training on digital tools like live polls and brainstorming platforms to enhance student interaction.

The session concluded with a commitment to apply gamified learning and interactive teaching methods in future classes.
